  1. I went to the session on DE streaming and Learn 360 on September 23. I am going to incorporate both of these resources into my TAG and tech classes. I have a better understanding of how to incorporate these programs into my curriculum after working with Bev. I was not logging in correctly before this session. I always forgot to put aea1 before my teacher number.
I have been searching for ideas for lessons to use with middle school tech class. I asked Bev if she had any ideas. She showed me the Atomic Learning Project Based learning link. I never noticed that before. It is an awesome resource. I like how it incorporates tech applications into curriculum areas. I am going to try some of these lessons with the middle school students.
I shared these resources with the other staff during the Smack Down session. Everyone seemed interested in using these resources.
I enjoyed the Smack Down session. All of the teachers shared some good resources with others. I have been looking for a blogging program to use with middle school. One of the teachers told us about Kidblog.org. I am going to use that program. I like the security features of this program.
I do not have a smart board. I wish I did. There are many neat activities to do with the Smart board.

  2. I am going to make a blog for each of my middle school classes. Each day I am going to give them a technology vocabulary word. They will need to find the definition of the word, site the resource they used, and then post it. I will let them use words or pictures.
I am also going to have them reflect on their learning relating to the projects we are working on.
On the first day of class I gave the students a quiz to see which tech terms they knew the meaning of. Most of them thought they knew much more than they did. That is why I though this might be a good ongoing project. By the time they get to high school they should have a good tech vocabulary.
I will blog with the students each class. They will need to sign in and post their comments. Before the comments can be posted I can approve them, delete them, etc. I think this is a good way to introduce students to blogging. They will not be able to post inappropriate comments. It is also going to be a good way to provide feedback to my students.
